PHILLY BEER WEEK

Philly Beer Week is a 10-day celebration of the Best Beer-Drinking City in America.

Established in 2008, it’s the largest beer celebration of its kind in America, featuring hundreds of festivals, dinners, tours, pub crawls, tastings and meet-the-brewer nights to area bars, restaurants and other locations throughout Greater Philadelphia. Since its inception, more than 50 other U.S. cities have copied Philadelphia’s success to launch their own beer weeks.

Philly Beer Week highlights the region’s diverse beer scene – its world-class breweries, neighborhood taverns, trend-setting restaurants and rich beer culture and history. Philly Beer Week draws thirsty beer fans from throughout the region and beyond, making it one of Philadelphia’s key annual tourism events. (more…)

By now we are sure you have seen or at least heard about the latest TIME Magazine cover, of a young woman nursing an almost 4 year old child. The cover created an uproar among much of society, causing people to sling their parenting views, opinions, and judgements, creating around, one of the biggest reactions to a magazine cover in a very long time.

Center City Sips 2012

Center City Sips returns!

Center City District‘s Sips returns June 6th – August 29th, every Wednesday from 5-7pm at over 85 participating restaurants in Center City, Philadelphia. This weekly happy hour event offers patrons terrific food and drink specials, such as $5 cocktails, $4 wine, $3 beer and half-priced appetizers.
